There’s something about the soft glow of sunset on the Gulf Coast that just feels like magic — and Abbigail & Brandon’s session was exactly that. From the moment we started photographing at the beach near Henderson Beach Resort in Destin, Florida, their playful energy made the entire evening feel effortless and fun.
They came ready to laugh, run barefoot in the sand, and simply enjoy being together — which always makes for the most genuine photos. The waves were calm, the light was dreamy, and every moment felt natural and easy. You can see how comfortable they are with each other in the way they smile, twirl, and sneak little glances when they think no one is watching.
Playful Moments & Golden Light
What I loved most about this session was how them it felt. No stiff posing — just real connection. Abbigail’s laughter carried through the evening as Brandon spun her around in the sand and held her close while the sun dipped lower over the water.

We also wandered through the grounds near Henderson Beach State Park, where the greenery and soft pathways gave us a completely different feel from the beach while still keeping that relaxed coastal vibe. The mix of romantic portraits and playful movement gave their gallery so much variety — and truly told the story of who they are together.

Looking Ahead to Fall
Sessions like this are my favorite reminder that engagement photos aren’t just about pretty locations — they’re about capturing the season of life you’re in right now. Abbigail & Brandon brought so much joy and personality, and it made the entire evening feel like hanging out with friends.
And now… the countdown is officially on. I absolutely cannot wait for their wedding this fall at Lake Martin. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with laughter, genuine moments, and so much love.
Abbigail & Brandon — thank you for trusting me to capture this sweet season. Fall can’t come soon enough.
