There’s something about a crisp afternoon that makes an engagement session feel extra romantic the kind where you can see your breath in the air, but you’d never know they were cold because they couldn’t stop smiling.

Olivia and Nate met me on one of those chilly days, bundled up and ready, and from the very first few minutes I could tell this session was going to be special. They have that effortless kind of chemistry the quiet laughs, the way he instinctively pulls her a little closer, the way she looks at him when she thinks no one is watching. Those are the moments I live for.

Engagement sessions aren’t just about beautiful photos (although we absolutely get those 😉). They are such an important part of the wedding experience. This is our time to slow down, hang out, and really get to know each other. I learn how you interact. Who’s more reserved. Who brings the energy. Who needs a little extra prompting and who naturally melts into each other.

By the time the wedding day arrives, nothing feels awkward or unfamiliar. You already know how I direct. You know my cues. You trust me. And that trust? It’s what allows the wedding day to feel smooth, natural, and completely stress-free.

With Olivia and Nate, it didn’t take long before the nerves disappeared and the laughter took over. We walked, we talked about their plans, and we dreamed a little about their 2027 wedding in Eufaula. If their engagement session is any indication of what their marriage will look like it’s going to be full of joy, warmth, and a whole lot of fun (even when it’s freezing outside).

I truly cannot wait to photograph their wedding day in 2027. If it’s anything like this sweet afternoon, it’s going to be absolutely beautiful.

Olivia and Nate thank you for trusting me, braving the cold, and letting me capture this season for you. The countdown to Eufaula officially begins 🤍
