Some sessions just feel like they belong in a movie, and this Friday afternoon with Sloan and Zack was exactly that.

The kind of afternoon where time slows down, the light turns golden, and every moment feels effortless.

We started our afternoon down by the lake where we stumbled across an old boat resting near the water’s edge. Without hesitation, Zack dragged it over and gently pushed it into the water so we could create a little magic.

Sloan climbed in while the lake reflected the soft evening light around her, and suddenly the whole scene felt like something straight out of a storybook. Those quiet moments on the water were so peaceful and romantic.

After our time by the water, we wandered out into an open field that seemed to stretch on forever. Tall grass swayed in the breeze and wildflowers were scattered everywhere. Zack began picking little bundles of wildflowers as we walked for Sloan. They chased each other through the field, both of them laughing the entire time. It felt playful, carefree, and so perfectly them.

Not far into the field stood an old tire swing hanging from a tree that looked like it had been there for decades. Of course we had to stop. Sloan climbed on while Zack gave her the biggest push, and before long they were both laughing so hard neither of them could stand still.

Moments like these are always my favorite real, unscripted joy that tells the story of who they are together.

Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do so much. Getting to capture love stories exactly as they are, full of laughter, adventure, and a little bit of magic.

Sloan and Zack, I cannot wait to celebrate with you both this fall.
